Netflix commissioned us to create original artwork for their 2022 Black History Month campaign. As lead artist, we illustrated a vibrant, hand-drawn hero piece celebrating Black stories and storytellers across the Netflix catalog — work that lived on the platform's dedicated Black History Month page for members across the US.

Each character in the piece references a specific figure from a Netflix film or series in the Black History in Motion collection — from Passing to The Harder They Fall to Colin in Black & White. The work was designed to carry a sense of joy, nostalgia, and movement, with room built in for the Netflix team to bring additional animation to the final piece.
