NIKE | ndp
designer, illustrator, character designer
An illustration system for Nike Digital Product built to sell an internal vision of where Nike was headed. I worked on character design for the system: a cast that had to feel energetic and specific while staying loose enough to carry a wide range of scenarios across the deck.
The figures are built from flat shapes with no outline, long limbs, small heads, and faces reduced to a profile and a hairline. Nothing is rendered. That kept the cast readable at any size and let a single pose carry the energy, since there's no expression doing the work. Environments sit back as thin line drawing or loose color fields so the figure stays the only solid mass in frame, and the shadow reads as its own shape underneath it. Nike's mark appears small and unhurried, once per figure.
